The Spotted Pig | West Village, Manhattan, NY
“I had the unique opportunity to be a part of the world renowned gastropub The Spotted Pig, one of the most iconic and memorable restaurants of its time. As one of the original investors, I was able to work many jobs at “the pig” and was able to learn the restaurant industry from the ground up, working in the kitchen with world-renowned Chef April Bloomfield, running and expediting food, floor managing, bartending and serving tables. This invaluable experience taught me the ins and outs of the hospitality industry and propelled me into combining my film producing background to create, build and open some of New York City’s most successful restaurants.
I was very fortunate to have worked at The Spotted Pig in many capacities and experienced most aspects of the business in many different roles throughout the front and back of house from Host, Maitre’d, Barback, Bartender, Back Waiter, Server, Kitchen Expediter, Food Runner, Floor Manager to Administrator and Book Keeper. I also worked, for a period of time, the Special Events Coordinator for special dinners, private parties and bottle service events off site and on the Third Floor. In addition to my time learning the restaurant business at The Spotted Pig, i was the Coordinator of Design and Construction for new projects, additions and restaurant improvement projects.
I will always cherish my time spent working and learning at the iconic The Spotted Pig!”
