THE JOHN DORY OYSTER BAR | Manhattan, NY

Design Consultant / Owner’s Representative: In collaboration with design firm Roman and Williams and architectural firm Stonehill/Taylor, Douglas oversaw all aspects of the design of The John Dory Oyster Bar.

Project Manager: Douglas managed the restoration, renovation and construction processes, collaborating closely with the general contractor and trade workers as well as coordinating with the Ace Hotel team.

Opening General Manager: His responsibilities included managing the restaurant's opening and operations, interviewing, hiring, and training the restaurant, bar, and kitchen staffs, and established all operational systems while coordinating with The Ace Hotel.
