Design Consultant / Project Manager: Douglas worked with Designer and Architect Taavo Somer and oversaw all aspects of design and construction. He also worked closely with chef Joaquin Baca to design, build out and installation of the brand new kitchen. Douglas worked closely with the General contractor on a daily basis to ensure efficiencies in construction, deadlines and overall communication between design, construction and operations teams.
Opening General Manager: Douglas oversaw the opening and operations of the Rusty Knot. He interviewed, hired and trained the staffs of restaurant, kitchen and bar. He also, set up all “The Knot”’s restaurant, bar and kitchen operational systems.
