Douglas Keith Friedman has worked in the restaurant industry since 2006.  He has built, opened and operated several iconic restaurants and bars in New York City.  He has held the positions of Owner, Owner’s Representative, Director of New Projects, Designer, Design Consultant and Project Manager.    He has been the point person to lead and oversee all aspects of design and construction to working in the capacity of the opening General Manager leading the programs of hiring, staffing and training to opening and operations.  In 2019 he designed and built then successfully opened and operated his own restaurant in Brooklyn, New York.

Before the hospitality industry, Douglas’ background set him up for the multi-layered nature of the restaurant business.  He moved to New York City from his native Los Angeles, CA in 2006.  Douglas has had a very successful film production career as a producer and a director.  His many accolades include Grammy Award winner as music video producer, MTV video music award as producer and director,  included in a project which is entered into the Guinness Book Of World records as the film director.

Doug currently lives in New York City with his wife and daughter.
